Here are just a few of the kind things that people said about us after we did work for them.

The best testimonial of all is the number of new clients we acquire by word of mouth and recommendations from other customers.

I was thrilled when I was able to break down a "‘brick wall" with my family research from the 1700’s due to Pete’s great detective work.  I had been searching for years, to no avail, and being so far away in South Australia I found it particularly difficult to find anything out, due to the family names being all the same, from one generation to the next and as well not many clues to work with.

Not knowing really where to turn to I contacted Pete through Forefathers on the internet, and straight away found Pete extremely helpful. Then to my surprise in a short space of time he found the breakthrough I had been looking for, going back to the very early 1700’s, which is always very difficult due to the lack of records in some areas. Pete was very prompt, honest and reliable and very straightforward about what he could find out for me.  I have more research to do and will use Pete’s skills again in the future as I found it was invaluable.

What a great service! Detailed, in-depth and very well presented family history going back 7 generations. I’m now making a second purchase for another family name.

I have found Forefathers an excellent family research organisation and Peter Clifford has done a great job with my family history. He has an in-depth skill to both interpolate and extrapolate data and has provided me and my sisters with a window to our past. Thank you very much.

Robert Newton Wilson, Victoria, Australia

For the last ten years I have been trying to finish my family research. My sister and I live in Australia and the relatives we were looking for lived in England, so an extended visit gave us the chance to finalise some of our searches. We found Peter Clifford of Forefathers on the Internet and found him to be a sensitive and efficient researcher.

Within days of our first conversation information about my family was found. Peter tracked down the aunt we had lost contact with over 50 years ago and three cousins who didn't even know we existed. Peter sent me certificates, war records and even photos of a home my aunt lived in. We have since had get-togethers with our cousins and I feel we will be keeping in contact long after we return to Australia.

What a wonderful and fascinating journey Peter Clifford of Forefathers has taken us on. I would not hesitate asking Peter to do more research for me and would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking into researching their family history.

To Peter Clifford of Forefathers from me and my family - thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Over the months that I have been associated with Forefathers Research, through my contact, Peter, I have found him to be most professional and honest in his approach. He is friendly, courteous and easy to talk to. He provides timely and informed answers to my questions. In this respect, he seems to be one step ahead of me, anticipating my questions, for I no sooner pose them when his informed reply arrives - responses that often require some degree of research on his part. This I really appreciate, given both the different time zones between the UK and Australia and my impatience in wanting answers.

In particular, Peter has been most helpful in uncovering family details that defied the best efforts of my family for many months and years in some cases. Despite our many fruitless searches for family details of arrival in the land of Oz, Peter was able to not only tell us who and when, but also the names of the ships they emigrated in. Whereas we were expecting to find only British flagged ships, Peter found the details not only in a British flagged ship, but also in a Dutch flagged ship as well, on charter to the British Government. Who would have thought to look there but an experienced genealogist!

His local knowledge of the UK system is most invaluable, especially for those of us that live in the Antipodes, or across the Pond.

It therefore gives me great pleasure to recommend Peter without hesitation to anyone who is interested in, or thinking of, engaging the services of Forefathers Research.
